READ provides teachers the tools they need to teach literacy and gives them their time back so they can teach.

READ is designed by teachers and literacy experts as a comprehensive core literacy curriculum with all the essential tools needed to teach students to read. READ provides clear, concise, to-the-point, integrated teacher training in evidence-based literacy, as well as the tools and knowledge to teach each level of the curriculum. The goal is to give teachers the maximum time to teach by radically reducing the necessary professional development (training) and prep time, to provide the best possible Digital Personalized Learning (DPL) tools, and to fully integrate and automate assessments and reporting.

The curriculum is focused on accelerating student achievement in graphemes, phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Lessons can be started in the classroom, in small groups, or one-on-one and students can work along with the class or group, or can work individually, including self-directed learning (DPL). Assignment and tracking of classwork and homework are fully integrated and radically simplified.

The curriculum is structured and scaffolded and uses the exact same structure and scaffolding for pre-readers, new readers, deficient readers, English language (EL) learners, and dyslexia. This not only simplifies teaching, it 100% consistent with the evidence and learning science of literacy. With the correct structured and scaffolded curriculum, anyone can be taught to read, and anyone with a deficiency can correct that deficiency and become a proficient and engaged reader.

Leveled assessments within the curriculum flow are automatic and fully integrated. Tools for leveling any reader at any time, as well as structured assessments, are included, with detailed metrics tracking everything from strengths to deficiencies. All assessments and metrics are linked directly and seamlessly back to the scaffolding within the curriculum. If you want to address an issue, you can do so right in your workflow, you can assign the work as classwork or homework, or you can assign it to a colleague, teaching or classroom assistant, reading specialist, or as a self-learning task (DPL).

Teachers are provided a comprehensive dashboard to manage in-class teaching, small groups, individual learning (DPL), and assignment and tracking of class and homework. Progress and achievement for each student are clearly displayed and defined, with drill-downs to any level of the curriculum, assessments, or achievement. Teachers have one place to clearly understand how each student and the entire class or classes are doing. Those metrics roll up for administrators and reporting and link to existing school information and reporting systems.

READ uses artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) to bring efficiency to assessments and to save teachers from time-consuming and tedious paperwork, assessment, and reporting. READ is not built to replace teachers or to make their key role irrelevant. READ empowers teachers. Literacy is a hands-on job.

READ is focused on providing teachers the knowledge, confidence, tools, and efficiency to accelerate their students' reading achievement and give teachers their time back to teach.
