It is designed from the ground up for schools and school districts and supports rapid implementation and full integration with existing school information systems (SIS), learning management systems (LMS), and single sign-on (SSO) solutions.
READ is a comprehensive, core, uniform, single-source curriculum and Digital Personalized Learning (DPL) solution for teaching literacy to pre-readers (PreK), K-2 new readers, and English Language (EL) learners, students in grades 3-12 who are at grade level, below grade, or advanced readers or with dyslexia. READ is 100% based on the evidence and learning science of literacy. and accelerated achievement in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Teacher training is fully integrated, and supports real-time, efficient, and targeted professional development (training). Overall curricular training, including the science and methodology, is embedded in the tools, with incremental training at each curricular level. Training allows rapid on-boarding of existing teachers, new teachers, classroom and teaching assistants, teaching aides, same-day substitutes, and Special Education, language, reading, and disability specialists The tools support pre-assignment of classwork and homework, and students and teachers can be seamlessly on-boarded and integrated into the curriculum, at any time or at any point during the school year.
READ provides teachers and administrators with comprehensive real-time dashboards that show progress at the school, class, and individual student level, with drill-downs to any level of the curriculum, assessments, or achievement. Teachers and administrators have one place to clearly understand how each student and the entire class, school, or district are doing. Those metrics roll up for reporting and can be seamlessly linked to existing SIS, LMS, and reporting systems.
READ supports the use of existing digital devices and READ runs on smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks, portables, and desktops. It supports multi-factor authentication and SSO. As importantly READ supports and encourages the use of existing classroom and library books, and children’s books that some parents are likely to have at home. READ is a complete literacy Digital Personalized Learning (DPL) platform and does not require investment in leveled readers, massive print runs on paper with the associated costs of printing, storage, and recycling.
READ also supports direct communication between teachers and parents, with clear assignments of classwork and homework, integrated assessments, and identification of how to address student achievement.
